Steps to Support Learning

LPS Steps to Support Learning
Minor and Major Behaviour Process
We have been working hard to review our classroom practices and policies to ensure we have consistent, predictable routines and clear expectations that align with our Professional Learning based on the Berry Street Education Model and our school values. As a result, we'd like to share some important updates with you.
The processes below will be implemented and taught explicitly in every class and specialist setting. They support our school values of Be a Learner, Be Respectful and Be Resilient. From now on, minor and major behaviours will be recorded and communicated so we can better inform parents/carers and track patterns of student behaviour.
This allows us to take proactive, positive, and supportive steps to address behaviour impacting learning and wellbeing. If your child has a minor behaviour recorded, a Compass post will be sent to you. Major behaviours will be communicated via a phone call. Of course, our green (positive) compasses will continue to be shared and celebrated.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Peter Slidders.
