From the Principal

Public School Review
On Thursday we will welcome the review team for our Public School Review validation site visit. Last week we submitted a comprehensive body of evidence showcasing not only what we have achieved, but most importantly, our direction for ongoing school improvement.
This process is both affirming and rewarding, and I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all staff for their contributions. I also extend my thanks to the College Board, P&C, AG Advisory, and our community representatives for their support and involvement on the day.
Driver needed
We are searching for a volunteer driver to transport a college formed girls' netball team (or two) to Northam on Wednesdays for the upcoming competition. If you are willing and able to drive our Commuter bus (C-class license), or even our mid-sized bus (LR license), we could possibly put up X2 teams. Please let me know if you are able to support this important initiative.
Fuel
With the current situation regarding fuel prices and availability, we are anticipating additional students staying in boarding over weekends. I encourage students and families to pre-plan any travel during this time as to not impact their ability to access fuel and get back to school, and for Reach Leave to be entered on time, so we can plan catering, activities etc.
P&C Thank You
Thank you to our wonderful P&C who have in the last 6 months alone funded $17,000 worth of initiatives including:
Couches and Air fryers for residential
Sports Equipment, giant lawn games, pool table accessories
ATAR texts
Mig welder, nail gun and tools for Construction
Upgrade drones for the RePL drones program
Budget for student events and prizes (special dinners, quiz nights etc)
$5k towards the restoration of our greenhouse for plant trials etc.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and support!
Mosquitos
Due to our proximity to the Mortlock catchment and our effluent ponds, and with the seasonal change in weather, we experience increased mosquito activity at this time each year. We are managing the issue as best we can while we await a full-site treatment. This treatment can only occur when students are not on campus and is scheduled for the upcoming Autumn Carnival (closed) weekend.
2027 Round 1 Offers and Co-Op Scholarship
It is that time of year when we distribute Round 1 offers to the incoming cohort. Demand for places at the College remain high, and I encourage families (or friends) with students wishing to be considered for a place in Year 11 2027 apply online ASAP and book in an interview in order to be considered for Round 1 offers.
We are also proud to partner with the Cunderdin Co‑Op to establish a fully funded scholarship for a Cunderdin DHS student to attend the College in 2027 who is not eligible for AIC. This scholarship will cover boarding, school fees, and uniforms. We look forward to announcing the recipient following Round 1 offers.
