All Things Hub

Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub

Our Community Hub continues to flourish with lots of events happening lately. Our playgroup children had lots of fun celebrating National Pyjama Day where we invited all our families to dress up in their favourite warm pyjamas! In addition, we also held a special Mini Olympics to celebrate the 2024 Paris Olympics. The children participated in a series of gross motor activities such as crawling through a tunnel, jumping and hopping on one leg and even practising their eye-foot co-ordination when kicking a ball. It was a beautiful day and the children all went home smiling with their special certificates!

Our new citizenship class has had overwhelming numbers and we have now split into two sessions. The first session from 9.30am-11.30am will run as usual, and a second session provided at 12pm-2pm will have a Burmese and Rohingya interpreter. We highly encourage families to attend these classes on time. If hub students are more than 15 minutes late to the class they will not be able to attend the class as this class is in high demand and our families take this class seriously as they want to pass their citizenship test.

A reminder that our Annual Women’s Health Forum has been planned for Thursday the 5th of September so please save the date as we have lots of fun activities planned that day including a Zumba, drumming, women’s health sessions and coffee with a special lunch!
