100 Days at School

On Wednesday, we celebrated the massive milestone of 100 Days at School. The students all came to school in bright colours and it was great to see the excitement. We started by reading a book about the 'Hundredth Day Disaster' and how one group of students was behind in counting their days at school and nearly missed the celebration. They thought it was a very funny book but like I said to them they are lucky as they never forgot to add a day.

Next, we had a go at what they would do if they had 100 legs and creating a monster with ten legs and eyes for example. Afterwards, we pulled out the fun aging booth and took pictures of our faces and stuck them on a sheet and wrote about what they think they will be doing when they are 100.

They had a great deal of fun making some icing and icing biscuits and adding features on top to make the number 100. They loved eating them and being able to make it all themselves.

We learnt how to flip a coin and they had to flip a coin 100 times colouring in squares in certain colours for if they got heads or tails. They had great fun and loved being able to flip the coin so many times.

It was such a fun day and celebration!
