WHAT WE LEARNED
This term has been busy for Peppermint.
With the opening of the new portables, we saw lots of changes for our students to adapt to and as usual they have taken everything in their stride so well.
We have seen our Learning Place evolve with Mini Beasts, as students learnt about different insects and explored the playground areas for living and non-living things.
Already we have seen our students grow and develop with routines, becoming more independent and settling into school as big kids.
Next term there will be lots of events for them to participate in and some more new changes for them to take on as we begin to get them ready for the second half of the year and to transition towards their second year of school.
Drop-offs and pick-ups will be from the Peppermint gate from the beginning of Term 3, so students can establish this routine like the rest of the school.
We kick off the Term in Week 2 with a celebration of 100 Days of School. Students can dress up and there will be a day of fun activities and a parade for families to enjoy. More information to come.
Book Week in Week 5 will also see us dressing up as our favourite book characters and enjoying lots of fun as we explore books and reading.
Week 8 will be a highlight in the Peppermint calendar with Monash Health visiting for the Teddy Bear’s Hospital and Picnic. More information to come closer to the date. Get your teddies ready for that one!
REMINDERS
In Term 3 we will see drop-off and pick-ups looking a little different. From Week 1 staff will meet families at the gate each morning and afternoon. This will make the carpark flow better and will be great training for our students for next year.
