Year 12 Camp

From April 22–24, our Year 12 students embarked on a three-day action-packed camp at The Summit in Trafalgar. The Year 12s took on a range of challenges that pushed them beyond their comfort zones and strengthened the cohorts connections.
The Year 12s engaged in a range of physically and mentally demanding activities. Scaling new heights when Abseiling and completing the High Wire, testing nerves with the Snake & Nails, plunging into the unknown with the Leap of Faith, or strategizing through Laser Skirmish. Students worked together and supported one another through each of the challenges.
Beyond the physical challenges, students engaged in wellbeing sessions, where they explored strategies for stress management and mental resilience - essential tools for the demanding months ahead. Students also engaged in English and VCE VM sessions, reinforcing the importance of balance between academic commitment and mental wellbeing
In a moment of reflection, the Year 12s revisited the letters they wrote to themselves back at the Year 9 Camp - a moment to pause and consider how far they've come, and how they’ve grown over the years.
The camp’s legendary Monster Course was a highlight for many. An intense, muddy, team-based obstacle course designed to test endurance and collaboration. Covered in mud, students displayed incredible camaraderie and encouragement as they worked together to complete the course.
Whether it was the thrill of the Giant Swing, or pride in personal achievements like completing the Rockwall or the Summit Window, or the laughter and friendly rivalry of the trivia night, there were plenty of memories that students will carry with them.
The camp would not have been possible without our incredible team of staff who attended and the Year 12 coordinators and Kelly for their organisation. Thank you to the staff who attended, encouraged, and completed challenges alongside our students and providing them students with an unforgettable experience.
As we move further into the year, students are encouraged to hold onto the lessons learned during camp, the power of giving it your all, the value of working together and supporting each other, and the importance of setting goals - and stretching those goals. The rest of the year is full of opportunity, and we know our Year 12s are ready to face it head-on.
