Football
The weather foiled the start of the season for some teams, but for those teams that did manage to play, it was great to see the standard of Football. Congratulations to the 1st XI, 16A and 13A for scoring double figures in their games.
This weekend sees a combination of home and away games against St Patrick’s College Strathfield.
As the season progresses, please pay careful attention to the location of fixtures, as at times there are some games which will be listed as a 'Home' fixture or 'Away' fixture yet played at a different location due to ground pressures.
Ground Locations this Saturday
SPC 2 & 3 – Francis St Strathfield
Walsh, Watkins, Chaplin 2 – Dreadnought Rd, Oxford Falls.
Good luck to all teams.
Please note: there will be no training on Wednesday 14 May due to a staff meeting, and no training on Monday 19 May due to Year 12 parent/teacher/student interviews.

Open to students in Years 5–12, as well as interested parents and staff, this event is the first step in establishing a biannual surf tradition at the College. For those students eager to take their surfing further, we also plan to form a competitive surf team to participate in future inter-school competitions.

Register & Pay via Clipboard
Cost: $100 per participant (students and/or parents)

For our more competitive surfers - this event isn’t just social! Students who wish to compete will need to purchase their 'Flowstate' video footage directly from the URBNSURF website ($25) and submit their two best waves to Mr Burton. This will serve as their official entry for judging in their age division.
The top three surfers will earn a place on the inaugural St Pius X Surf Team, representing the College at future inter-school competitions.
Students requiring transport can opt in via Clipboard – additional costs may apply based on final numbers.
Whether you're new to surfing or a seasoned shredder, this is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen community ties, support student wellbeing, and ride the St Pius X spirit all the way to shore.
