Shared Pick-Up Zone – safety reminder

As you may be aware, we share the Kirk Street pick-up zone with our neighbouring primary school. To assist with the safe collection of all students, they use the zone exclusively until 3:15 pm so the younger students can move off.

Although our new bell time is 3:05pm, we kindly ask our families to begin arriving for pick-up no earlier than 3:15 pm. This helps to reduce congestion and ensures the safety of all students during this busy time.

It’s also important that traffic continues to flow through the area. When cars remain stationary or drivers refuse to move on, it becomes very difficult - and potentially dangerous - for our families to safely collect their children.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to keep the Kirk Street pick-up zone safe and accessible for everyone.

Professional Learning - early finish days

As outlined at the beginning of the year; to support staff professional learning and compliance obligations, we have scheduled one early finish day each term.

This term, in addition to our planned early finish, we are required to complete mandatory evacuation training to meet compliance requirements. As a result, there will be two early finish days in Term 2:

  • Wednesday 14 May

  • Monday 16 June

On both days, students will attend six periods, and the school day will conclude at 2:30 pm. The Academic Annexe in the SRC will remain open until 5:10 pm to support students who wish to utilise this resource. Debating will continue as normal. Cocurricular training will not be held.
