Year 8 Camp in Kingston - A Week To Remember!

The Year 8 students finished Term One off with an unforgettable camp in Kingston, packed with fun, adventure and plenty of laughter. Staying at The Lea Scout Campsite, there were plenty of site-based activities for the students to engage in, as well as great providers who came in to run some adrenaline fuelled activities. Students were able to challenge themselves and their fears with rock climbing and abseiling as well as teamwork challenges on the low ropes course, and frisbee golf. It was wonderful to see the students throw themselves into every activity with enthusiasm and comradery.

One of the highlights was the scavenger hunt around Hobart, where students explored the city while working together to solve clues. Back at camp, evenings were spent with devotions, night games, a movie, being gathered around the campfire, and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

A huge thank you goes to Mrs Atchison for the incredible food that kept everyone energized and happy — her cooking and energy were a true highlight of the week!

Year 8 camp was not just about activities; it was about strengthening friendships, building confidence and learning the importance of how we are ‘stronger together.’
