Chatham Happenings

ANZAC Day

On Friday 25th April, our School Captains and Vice School Captains represented our school at the Surrey Hills ANZAC Day Dawn Service. Well done to Madeleine McEwan, who presented a speech about the Gallipoli campaign and Banjo James who presented a speech about Edward ‘Ward’ Hasselbach, a local Surrey Hills resident who fought at Gallipoli in WW1. Well done also, to Zara Foxley-Conolly and Conor O’Brien who laid a wreath on behalf of Chatham Primary School at the cenotaph in Surrey Gardens. Our school has participated in this event since it began and our students always represent our school with confidence and poise, and they show exceptional preparation and reflective thinking.
