Term 2 Fundraiser – Cans & Container Recycling
Recycling is an important part of looking after our environment, and our school is passionate about sharing this with our students. This term, P&F is teaming up with our sustainability leaders to run a drink container recycling fundraiser.
The goal is to encourage the use of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme and raise funds for new sports uniforms for our students!
Here’s how you can help:
- We’ve placed red recycling bins on the east side of the hall and the west side of the main building (near both car parks) where you can drop off your eligible drink containers.
- Please check that containers have the 10c refund stamp and, if possible, leave the lids on.
- You can also donate your refund directly at a recycling facility by selecting “Donate” and choosing Bunyip Primary School as your recipient (or screenshot the Zone ID barcode above).
Have you got a large collection that you're having trouble taking to a facility yourself? If so, let the office know and we’ll arrange for a Parents &Friends volunteer to meet with you for collection.
Thank you for supporting our efforts to make a positive environmental impact and raise funds for new sports gear.
Mother’s Day Stall
On Wednesday, May 7th, P&F hosted our annual Mother’s Day Stall. The students had a wonderful time selecting from an amazing choice of gifts.
This year’s stall was made even more special thanks to the generous contributions from some of our wonderful local businesses. A big thank you to Evelyn's Bowtique, Aand Made, Teheneppe.Lowtox.Lifestyle, Nurture Body & Soul, and Yap & Co for contributing their products at short notice for our stall.
We hope all the mums and other special recipients loved their surprises.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the amazing parents who helped make the day run so smoothly. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Fresh Sand & Request for Sand Pit Toys
Thanks to the generous support of Bunyip Garden Supplies, some of our school sand pits have been refreshed with a new load of sand!
A big thank you to Tamara and Luke Tehennepe and Peter Knox for organising and moving the sand. Your efforts are deeply appreciated.
If any families happen to have any unwanted, good-quality sand pit toys—like shovels, diggers, or toy trucks, we’d love to give them a second life in our sand pit areas. Please feel free to drop them off at the school office.
Purple Day Fundraiser Update
On Wednesday 26th March, Bunyip Primary School supported Purple Day, raising $288 for the Epilepsy Foundation. What a fantastic effort from our school community!
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated—we appreciate your support.
Breakfast Club – Parent Helpers Needed!
With cold and flu season ramping up, more and more kids are getting sick—and unfortunately, that includes some of our amazing Breakfast Club volunteers. To keep it running all through winter, we’re putting the call out for extra parent helpers.
Breakfast Club runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8.30am, and we need volunteers from around 8.20am to 9.05am to help with setting up, cooking jaffles and other breakfast items, and packing up afterwards.
Whether you’re free once a week, once a fortnight, or even just occasionally, we’d really appreciate your support. You can let the office know and they’ll connect you with a volunteer. Or, just drop in one morning and chat to a volunteer to find out more.
Everyone is welcome!
Next P&F Meeting
