Captains Corner

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another amazing newsletter. Wow, it’s already term four. It seems that, just a week ago, we were packing our bags and getting prepared for our first day back. As we progress into our final weeks of 2023, we can see what an amazing term it has been! So many wonderful learning opportunities, immersive experiences we have collected and can reflect on as we continue to pave our ways into the future.

An exciting event that we are proud to be a part of, is ‘World Teachers Day’, which was celebrated last week, Thursday, the 5th of October! Our wonderful teachers and staff members truly make our school a remarkable place, supporting us students and creating a positive learning environment. Our School Captains had created cards on behalf of every student in our school, in a way, expressing our gratitude to all of our inspiring teachers and adults who work in our school.

As well as that, last week on Thursday the 5th of October, 10 of our school students proudly represented our school and district in the Monash-Waverley Divisional Athletics Competition. Our school performed spectacularly, and achieved great success. Well done to all those students who made it to this level and congratulations to William, Shiv and Hirun who have qualified for the next level – we look forward to hearing how they go!

Some exciting news coming to the light, is our schools very first Uno tournament! The School Captains have organised an exciting event that every child can participate in. Uno is a fun card game, played with roughly ten players. It is a great, stimulating way to exert control and focus. Any student who would like to participate is welcome to sign up at any time between now and the end of Week 2.

On Wednesday the 16th of October, our year 4’s have their very first camp! They will be heading to Cave Hill Creek, and engage in many new and unfamiliar activities. I am sure that they will all have a great time!

What a way to kick off our last term! Lots of immersive, exciting experiences and opportunities to share and explore. Once again, I can see this term will be an amazing way to wind down 2023. We have many more incredible days ahead of us!
