Foundation students loved the smooth stretchy feeling of the magiclay used to make these funky birds. Each bird shows such quirkiness and individuality. Very impressed with how they worked out!

Earlier this term the Grade 1/2 students created a plasticine portrait of a special person in their lives. We loved playing around with the plasticine to make the different features of their faces and it was awesome to see how different each portrait was. Well done everyone!

The Grade 3/4 students used the slab technique and pinch pot technique with clay to create their lotus flower and lilypad. It was wonderful to see students exploring using the clay to create different creatures to sit on their flower or lily pad. We learnt the importance of using slip to "glue" our clay together and students loved painting their creations once they were dry.

Over the past couple of weeks, both Grade 5/6 classes have been planning, designing and painting our fibreglass cow as a part of the Picasso Cow Program. We began the program learning all about the importance of including dairy products into our diet, and how they benefit so many of our bodily functions. Linking our learning back to term 2 where we focused on the Pop Art elements of repeated products and word explosions, helped us bring a bright and fun design together. Hopefully we will be able to share the final product with you all in early term 4!
