Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers
As we head into the colder weeks of Term 2, a few reminders to help keep our students comfortable and ready for learning:
Warm Clothing & Spare Clothes
Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. A named coat is essential for chilly mornings and outdoor play. For our younger students, we also recommend packing a change of socks, pants, and underwear in their bags. With wet play equipment and occasional muddy patches, this small preparation can save a lot of discomfort!
Attendance Matters
While we understand that illness is unavoidable at times, we encourage families to prioritise regular school attendance. Every day of learning counts, and building consistent routines helps our students stay connected and confident in their learning. Of course, if your child is genuinely unwell, it’s best they rest and recover at home.
School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)
We are thrilled to see the success of our soft launch of SWPBS this term, focusing on our school values: Collaboration, Perseverance, and Respect. Our “Caught Using Your Manners” cards were met with great enthusiasm, and this week we’re turning our attention to students who show Respect by going out of their way to keep our school clean and tidy. Thank you for reinforcing these values at home too – together, we’re creating a culture of kindness and responsibility.
Morning Clubs – Come and Join Us!
Even though the mornings are cooler, we’d love to see students at our Walking Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:20am. It’s a great way to start the day with movement and connection. Don’t forget Brekky Club is on Wednesdays from 8:00am, offering a warm and welcoming start to the day with a light breakfast.
Important Dates – Please Note
- Friday 6 June – Student-Free Day: No school for students as staff engage in report writing and professional learning. (Camp Australia is running OSH Care).
- Monday 9 June – Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday: School closed.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can assist you or your child in any way.
