Year 4 - The World Of Banjo

As part of our Term 2 Inquiry Investigation, I Am Creative, Year 4 students enjoyed a captivating incursion titled The World of Banjo. This engaging performance brought Australian history to life through the vibrant language of iconic poet, Banjo Paterson.

Students experienced three of Banjo’s most famous works: The Man from Ironbark, Mulga Bill’s Bicycle and Green Bung Polo Club. The incursion supported our poetry studies and learning focus on public speaking by exploring performance techniques and the author’s language choices.

It was a creative and educational opportunity that inspired students to deliver entertaining performances and build confidence in their speaking skills.
