Senior School Update – A Season of Enrichment and Engagement
As Term 2 progresses, it’s been fantastic to see our senior students continuing to immerse themselves in a variety of enriching academic and co-curricular opportunities.
Our senior netball teams recently represented Reservoir High School with pride in interschool competitions. They were competitive, resilient and displayed great sportsmanship throughout the day. Well done to all students involved!
Meanwhile, our Year 12 cohort had the opportunity to step out of the classroom and into the city for an exciting excursion. Students attended a screening of Sunset Boulevard in the CBD, followed by a VCE revision lecture designed to sharpen their understanding and boost their confidence in the lead-up to exams. Experiences like these highlight the importance of learning both in, and beyond, the classroom.
In our weekly IMPACT sessions, students have been focusing on three key areas: developing effective study skills, engaging with our school-wide expectations around Respect as part of the SWPBS framework, and exploring the newly introduced RHS Lesson Model. These sessions are helping students to build routines strengthen their mindset, and understand what success looks like in a senior school environment.
Looking ahead, two significant events are on the horizon. The GAT is fast approaching – an important milestone for all students undertaking a scored VCE program. We’re also excited to celebrate our Year 12s at the annual Formal – a highlight of the school calendar and a well-deserved celebration of their efforts so far.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support in helping our senior students thrive. We look forward to an inspiring and successful end to the term.
