Junior School Report

Junior School News

As Autumn draws to a close, it is wonderful to reflect on the incredible achievements and growth of our Year 7 and 8 students. This month has been filled with learning, collaboration and opportunities for every student to shine.

Kind, Safe, and Fair: Our Guiding Principles

We are incredibly proud to see so many of our junior school students consistently embodying our core mantra of kind, safe, and fair. Whether it's through helping a classmate, demonstrating respectful behaviour in the yard, or ensuring everyone feels included. Your actions make our school a truly positive and supportive environment.

These values are the foundation of our community, and your commitment to them is truly commendable.

Mentoring Programs: Building Connections and Futures

This term, many of our Year 7 and 8 students have had the fantastic opportunity to engage with two vital mentoring programs:

  • RAISE Mentoring: This program has seen many of our students connect with dedicated mentors, building strong relationships and gaining valuable guidance. The one-on-one support and encouragement provided through RAISE are instrumental in helping students navigate their junior secondary years with confidence and a clear sense of direction.
  • 1000 Generations Mentoring: We have also been thrilled to see the impact of the 1000 Generations mentoring program. This initiative fosters connections from a wide array of providers, allowing students to learn from a diverse range of experiences and perspectives. It's a powerful way to build community and inspire future aspirations.

These programs are designed to support personal growth, academic success and overall well-being, and we encourage all participants to continue making the most of these unique opportunities.

Performing Arts Showcase

The Performing Arts Night on 26th of May was an absolute triumph! Our Year 7 and 8 students showcased an extraordinary array of talents, such as captivating musical performances and dynamic dance routines. The dedication, hard work and courage displayed by every student who stepped onto the stage was truly inspiring. It was a memorable evening that highlighted the vibrant creative spirit within our junior school. Congratulations to all who participated – your performances were outstanding!

We look forward to the rest of the term, filled with new challenges and opportunities so that our Year 7 and 8 students continue to learn, grow and contribute to our school community.
