Cookery Class Elective 

A great place to unlock students Bakery and Inner chef selves. An opportunity to have fun with flavour and foods and learn new skills to create exquisite baked goods.

The aromas coming out of the kitchen on a Thursday afternoon fill the school with wonderful sweet and savoury smells that are very enticing and those lucky enough to be around after school get a taste for afternoon tea while the cooks get to take samples home to their family.

Karyn and Meghan have been thoroughly enjoying seeing the students' skills building and the great satisfaction as the foods come out of the oven. You will see some posters around the school promoting this elective with an attached list of dates and what will be cooked. Some of the themes, like cake decorating, go over two weeks. So come give it a try for one or two weeks and experience this fun baking time.

Teacher - Orange Class

Art Elective

At the beginning of term 2, students in art started a new project, creating tote bags. They have helped design what these bags will look like and are learning new skills each week towards the creation of the tote bags. So far, they have measured and cut out the pattern for the bags, drawn their designs and some have even learnt how to do embroidery. 

Our goal is that by the end of this term, the bags will be finished, and our students will be able to carry the skills they have learned into other areas of their lives. We cannot wait to see what they create!
