Principal's Message

As we reach the midway point of 2025, I’m pleased to reflect on the energy, engagement, and growth demonstrated by our students across a wide range of programs and experiences.

Term 1 concluded with a well-deserved celebration, where students chose between a high-energy day at Bounce or a relaxing trip to see the Minecraft movie. It was a fantastic way to end the term and to also acknowledge their hard work and commitment.

This term, students have embraced opportunities to expand their understanding of the world around them. Visits to the Salvation Army and Frontyard Youth Services provided eye-opening insights into youth homelessness, sparking powerful conversations about empathy, social justice, and community responsibility.

In Art, students have channelled their creativity into a hands-on tote bag project, learning skills such as design, pattern-cutting, and embroidery. Meanwhile, our VET students undertaking the Certificate II in Community Services have focused on both academic and practical skill-building—completing LLN testing, food handling training, and beginning a new unit on workplace communication. Additionally, the Future Ready workshop invited students to imagine their future lives and careers, helping them gain clarity on transferable skills and long-term goals.

Community engagement remains a strong focus at PRC. Students have continued volunteering at Encompass Care, assisting with food distribution while developing soft skills such as teamwork, empathy, and communication. Our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser provided further opportunities to build real-world customer service and financial management skills, while also raising funds for local community organisations.

Students continue to participate in weekly sporting activities—including basketball, volleyball, bowling, and gym sessions which offer fun, inclusive outlet to build confidence, resilience, and friendships beyond the classroom.

It’s wonderful to witness our students learning, growing, and contributing in such meaningful ways. We look forward to building on this momentum in the second half of the year.
