After the Grade 5 and 6 last week, today our Grade 3 and 4 cohort took part in the Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition — an exciting opportunity to showcase their French-speaking and memorisation skills. Congratulations to all the participants! A big thank you to our amazing French team for organising this annual event!
We will receive the results on June 6th and will share them with you shortly after. Please note that the finals will be held on Sunday 15th of June, via Zoom, and there are no alternative dates.
This week, our school proudly took part in National Simultaneous Storytime, joining over 2,204,658 students across Australia in reading The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell.
This heartwarming story follows a road trip adventure full of friendship, belonging, and finding a place to call home.
We were especially excited to hear the book read aloud by the author herself, Deborah Frenkel, who shared that her inspiration came from her Jewish family's heritage in Eastern Europe.
It was a wonderful moment of connection as our entire school gathered to share in the story. Each class received a certificate of participation, and it was a joyful reminder of the power of stories to unite us all.
