Mrs Andrew -

Head of Boarding

As we come to the end of National Boarding Week, it's a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the energy, connection, and leadership that make our boarding house such a vibrant part of life at Kambala.

The week was filled with activities, and one standout moment was the BBQ fundraiser organised by our Boarding Prefects in support of the Country Education Foundation. It was a tremendous success and a true testament to the initiative and leadership of our current prefect team. Their ability to bring people together for a worthy cause – while serving up 250 sausages with a side of country music – made for a memorable day on the school oval.

As a school, we have now begun the election process for the 2025/2026 Prefect group, and we were incredibly proud of boarder Frankie Johnston, who addressed the entire school as part of her campaign for Head Boarder. Her confidence and authenticity captured the spirit of Kambala.

Over the next two weeks, we look forward to our Boarding Prefect elections and hearing from the five final candidates. It is always inspiring to see how our boarders step forward to put themselves out of their comfort zone and put themselves forward to lead and support their peers. The boarding house continues to be well represented in leadership roles across the school, a reflection of the exceptional calibre of students who call Kambala Boarding home.
