Social Media Changes
Please see below a resource that you may wish to share with your parent community to help them navigate the upcoming changes to Australian social media legislation.
The Cyber Safety Project has developed a Social Media Delay – Parent Toolkit. This resource is designed for schools to share with parents and their wider community and includes:
- Clear guidance on the new laws and their implications
- Practical strategies for families to manage the transition
- Conversation starters to help parents support their children
- Tips for saving content before accounts are suspended or deleted
These changes take effect on 10 December 2025. The Cyber Safety Project toolkit offers timely, practical support for families and will remain updated to reflect the latest advice from eSafety.

Library news
This week in the library we have been turning our minds towards Christmas, reading some Christmas stories and decorating our Australian Christmas tree and nativity scene. Make sure you come and have a look - it is a beautiful community artwork!
While Christmas is still a little while away, we only have this week and next left for borrowing before the end of year break.
Overdue notices went home yesterday. Have a look at home (under the bed or couch or in the car!) for any books listed. Please do come and see me if you are having trouble locating an overdue book.
Next week Ms McLeod returns to St Paul. It's been so much fun to take care of the library in her absence, but we have all missed her. My special thanks goes to Liann for her amazing assistance in keeping things running so smoothly.

Parking Reminder
Just a reminder for school families to not park in the designated church parks at the front of the church please. These need to be left free for church staff and visitors and for SPLASH staff. Thank you for your understanding.
