Updates from Miss Maree

Dear Families

Sadly, exhaustedly but grateful we come to another end of what has been a great school year. We have so much to be thankful for - amazing staff, supportive parents, great students and a school community that band together to get things done.

A huge thank you to Lou Roberts and our wonderful P and F who have yet again done so much for our school- school market, cake stalls, rowing regattas and raffles - all money raised to help maintain our school. With 13 new families coming on board next year it all is much easier if we can do our little bit and share the load.

To the amazing staff we have at St Joseph's - I cannot say enough about this group who go above and beyond every day to give your children the best education, experiences and joy! We sadly farewell Jacqui as she sets off on more travelling adventures next year but we hope to see her back in 2027. We also farewell Deb who has worked tirelessly with the students in the garden space. With external budget cuts in that area for next year, we hope to be able to do some magic (creative budgeting) in that department the following year to have Deb back with us- so it's only a little goodbye at this stage.

We look forward to another wonderful year in 2026 with more students,- 13 Foundation students, more learning and more excitement and adventure.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful students who each day bring us joy, happiness

(some frustrations) and a lot of laughter.  Congratulations to our award winners who were acknowledged at our end of year mass:

Kevin Verge Award - Lewis Thompson

Max and Margaret Perry - Ivy Munday

Nagambie RSL - Ruby Garrett, Hussain Bajwa

Little Athletics Award - Tatum Wight, Aahn Abburi, Iylah O'Connor

Ray White Resilience  Award - Harlen Trotman

Seymour Lions  Club Award - Jackson Moloney

We wish our Year 6 students Ivy, Tatum, Jackson and Lewis  all the best as they venture off to secondary school.

Please make sure you check out the dates for your diary page as there are  a few dates for next year already available. We are still waiting to confirm our Opening Mass, our Welcome BBQ evening, our Swimming Sports and Pupil Free Days for the year.

As soon as they become available we will let you know.

As always, I am available for any conversations, feedback, suggestions that will improve our great school. My door is always open.

I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and New Year. Please stay safe and I look forward to another exciting, action packed 2026.
