Tomorrow, we will pause and remember that the guns on the Western Front fell silent, after more than four years of continuous warfare.
St Edward’s children will remember the day World War I ended; at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. The students will participate in a Prayer service (at each campus).
Our School Leaders will attend the Remembrance Day Services on Saturday 11th November at the Tamworth Town Hall and the Memorial Bell Tower with members of the leadership team.
Please give generously to our annual St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Appeal. We ask all students and families to donate non-perishable food items that can be put into a Christmas hamper to help those families who are struggling. Donations can be made to the class teachers or at either School Office.
Congratulations to Quinn Hemmings for completing her early bird reading chart. Quinn loves to read a variety of both picture books and chapter books. Quinn you really are a reading superstar!!
Please remind your child that the Early Bird Reading Club is on each day from 8.30am. This is an opportunity for students to get in some valuable quiet reading time. Every chance to read personal choice books can only help reading development and building reading abilities.
At Infants there is always an opportunity to read with the library staff. Stickers, books and lots of congratulations are always available. At Primary it is quiet independent reading in a warm comfortable space.
