1 MONTH TO GO!

St. Finbar’s Inter-House Swimming Carnival 

Friday 24th November

This week all families will have received via emails via our Operoo email system with all details regarding our upcoming Whole School House Swimming Carnival. 

 *Year 3-6 Senior carnival families will have received 2 Operoo emails:

• Event Selection & Parent Helper Sign up
• Information & permission 

*Year P-2 Junior carnival families will have received 1 Operoo email:

• Parent Helper Sign up and Information & permission

HOUSE SWIMMING CAPS:  To begin preparing for this event, we ask all families to begin locating your child’s house-coloured swimming cap at home.  Please purchase a new House cap from the office if your child requires a new one.  We now sell good quality silicone caps in all 4 House colours.   

PARENT HELPERS:  many thanks to those that have already offered their time and efforts! We’d love to have a few more, so please add your details to the Google form sign up - many thanks!

CRICKET BLAST - a great day out for our Yr 3&4’s

Last Friday our Year 3 & 4’s had three teams represent our school at the Dendy District Cricket Blast tournament.  Teams set off by bus just after 8.30am to head to Darling Park in Malvern East.  The sun-filled day was also filled with loads of bowling, batting, fielding, making runs, wicket-keeping and quite a lot of scoring and support help from our amazing parent helpers.  

Whilst all teams had a few wins and losses over the day, everyone got to enjoy each other’s company and develop as a team over the day.  A massive thank you goes to these parents who helped support their child’s team over the day:  Carla O, Kate B, Lisa P, Kirrie L and Tenille F.  What a fantastic support they were for our students.  A special thank you to our attending staff as well; Mr. Anderson and Miss Gourley.  

Tomorrow we have our three Year 5 & 6 teams playing at Darling Park in their Dendy Cricket Blast tournament.  We wish them all the very best for a great day out!  

RETURN of all BORROWED SPORT SINGLETS, FOOTY JERSEYS & SOCCER SHIN GUARDS.

If we can please ask all families to have a good search at home & ensure their child has handed back all borrowed Football, HoopTime, Winter Sport & Lightning Prem sports singlets/jerseys & shin guards please.  We still have a few shin guards & jerseys to be returned.   Please ask your child to hand them back into the office for Mrs Thompson to collect.  THANK YOU!
