Last week our year 9 and 10 students created their own Lalor Secondary World Cup Soccer Tournament. We were treated to a game every day at lunch. The games were absolutely packed with students supporting each other from all year levels and many teachers cheering on our middle school students as well! 

Those students undertaking the Advance year long elective, have a camp where they test the outdoor skills that they have learned in the program. The first Advance excursion took place from 1st-3rd of November and this week the second class will be undertaking the camp from 8th-10th November. I can’t wait to see all of the pictures!

Year 10 exams commence on Monday 13th of November. Students are not required at school outside of their exam times. The exam schedule is as follows:

Monday 13th November – English and EAL

Tuesday 14th of November – Humanities

Wednesday 15th November – Science

Thursday 16th of November Maths

Year 9 students will also complete an English and Maths exam for the end of Semester. The English exam will take place on Friday 17th of November and Maths on Monday 20th of November. Year 9 students will complete their exams in the morning and then attend regular classes for the rest of the day. 

Once exams are complete for the year 10 students, they will be provided with exam feedback and then begin their Year 11 orientation program in preparation for their VCE and VM programs in 2024. It has been a true privilege to work with this group of year 10 students during their time in Middle School and I wish them all the best as they finalise their last CATs, complete exams and undertake their Year 11 orientation program.
