Assistant Principal

Year 11 & 12

Congratulations to our wonderful year 12 VCE students who are halfway through their 2023 VCE Examinations. The exams conclude on the 14th of November. For many of our students their final exam will be Foundation Mahs. Students have so much to be proud of, including their display of stamina and resilience over these past couple of years. Final VCE results are due to be released during the week of Monday the 11th of December.

On behalf of the college, I would like to wish each of our students the very best of wishes and best of luck for tertiary placements and future employment opportunities.  A reminder that Ms. Bussell is available for appointments to discuss Tertiary change of preferences and can be contacted at the college on 94637300 or via TEAMS. We understand that this is a time which can be a confusing one for students and their families as they finalise post-secondary school options. As a school team we are here to support and assist you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you require assistance.

We are very much looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our year 12 students at this year’s Graduation Ceremony to be held at Emerald Receptions on December the 18th.  If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets, you can do so, via at the general office. We would love to see all of our students and their families at this event.

Year 11 students have started their exams today with English and commencing the remainder of the exams next week. They will conclude the year with their important Orientation program beginning on the 14th of November in readiness for year 12 in 2024. In this program students will begin work in their Unit 3 subjects and VCE /VM, and will be provided with essential work and reading tasks that will be required to be completed over the summer break.  These are compulsory tasks and will be marked by teachers upon their return next year.  They will need to ensure that they have purchased all class texts and materials as per their booklists during the holiday period to allow for completion of these tasks.  These tasks go towards their first school assessed tasks and are essential for a strong start to year 12.

As always, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank parents and careers for your ongoing support of the college throughout this year. We certainly appreciate your partnering alongside us in this important educational journey for all of our students.
