Year 8 CSDA State Champions

Congratulations are extended to the members of the Year 8 A Debating team, Luca Franze, Luca Serratore and Nicholas Stojanovski along with their coach, Ms Jasmine Porter for their sensational performance last Friday evening. In what was a closely contested debate, the boys from Strathfield overcame their opponents from Edmund Rice College, Wollongong to claim the Year 8 CSDA State Championship title.

It was very pleasing to see the boys supported by their parents, their Year 8 team member Max Zanic along with a number of our Year 11 Debaters. I would also like to acknowledge and commend Mrs Lombardo (MIC Debating and Public Speaking), her fellow coaches and the entire debating cohort for what has been an incredibly enjoyable and successful 2023 season. In total, the Debating Fraternity claimed the following:

• The CSDA Year 8 State Debating Championship Shield 
• The CSDA Year 8 Metropolitan Debating Championship Shield 
• The CSDA Junior Debating Aggregate Shield
• The CSDA Senior Debating Aggregate Shield

I write to inform the College community that the 2023 Senior and Junior School Co-curricular photos have been made available to St Patrick’s. Below parents/carers will find access keys, ordering instructions and relevant information relating to these photos. 

Parents/carers can use the new Grid View to see all group photos on one screen. There is also a new Favourites feature which allows parents to click the heart in the top right corner of a photo. When they click on the Show Favourites tab, only the photos which have the heart highlighted will appear. Group photos are $12.00 each with one postage and handling fee per order.

Homework Club

Parents/carers and students are advised that Homework Club will cease on Thursday 30 November and re-open in Week 2 of Term 1, 2024. I trust this service has been most useful to both the boys and their parents.
