Congratulations Ren K (FM) for being the recipient of the Aussie of the Month for November. Ren is a friendly, caring and active member of our school community. He looks out for others and also looks after our school and the environment.
Christmas Cards: We are fortunate to have such a generous and supportive community at POPS. A heartfelt thank you to Eden B and her family (4C) for donating Christmas cards for last Monday’s Tribes session.
During the session, students explored simple ways to show kindness, smiling, greeting others, picking up rubbish, or offering help and put these lessons into action by writing Christmas cards to elderly nursing home residents.
These cards will soon be delivered to spread holiday cheer and joy.
Parent Potter: A big thank you to Mrs Bannan (parent of Lottie in 2H) for starting a Parent Potter group to help care for our veggie garden. We also sincerely thank Mrs Heard, Mrs Archard, Mrs Kirkness, and Mrs Toghyani for their time and effort in tending to the garden. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Next Parent Potter in the POPS Garden Join in on Friday, November, 29 from 9:00–10:30 AM in the POPS Sustainability Garden! 🌱🌺🍅🪴
Bring your coffee and join in for a fun garden blitz filled with laughter, banter, and community spirit. Whether you’re a gardening novice or a seasoned pro, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with other POPS parents, learn about sustainable gardening, and help maintain our school garden for the benefit of our kids.
A huge thank you to the Cornwell family for generously donating fertiliser and mulch from their Mitre 10 store. Your support is greatly appreciated!
This Sunday December 1 6:30pm, the Community Carols will be held at Domeney Reserve, and we’re excited to share that our Foundation students and Senior Choir will be performing. Additionally, several of our current and past students will be showcasing their talents.
This is a wonderful community event, and we hope to see all our POPS families there!
On December 3, we will hold our final School Council and Parents' Association meetings for 2024. The School Council meeting will begin at 6:45 pm in the staff room, while the Parents' Association AGM will start at 6:30 pm in the Arts Centre foyer. All parents are welcome to attend the AGM, during which the executive committee will be elected.
Following the meetings, the School Council and Parents' Association will come together in the Arts Centre foyer to celebrate a successful year.
Alex T (2DP): Alex swam 100 laps of continuous freestyle. She completed this in just under an hour. Well done Alex!
Chess Team: Congratulations to Ben R (2H), Alex V (3O) and Lincoln P (3O) for their representing POPS in the State Chess Tournament.
