Music and Concert Band
Victorian School Music Festival
The 34 students of the Year 7 Concert Band represented VUSC at the Victorian Schools Music Festival in mid-November. This is the first time that VUSC has had a Year 7 Band perform at this event. Not only did they give an outstanding performance, they were also very respectful of the other schools performing, the organisers and adjudicators. The Year 7 Band was acknowledged as being a successful addition to the ever improving and growing VUSC Concert Band program. Both adjudicators ranked the students as giving an Excellent Performance!

VUSC Honours Band
The top 50 students from Year 7 to 11 will meet on the Tuesday and Thursday of the last week of this term to rehearse as part of the 2025 VUSC Honours Band. Rehearsals will take place during the normal school day, with the students working on 4 major compositions in preparation for their performances next year.
Overall it has been an amazing year for the music and concert band faculty. Congratulations to all the students on their fantastic efforts and hard work, and thank you to our wonderful staff for an outstanding year!
