Year 7 Orientation Day

Year 7 2025

This Friday 22nd November, we held an Orientation Day for our Year 7 2025 Students. Our future students got to experience a full experience day to introduce them into what life looks like for an O'Connor student. Students were sorted into their houses for next year with help from some special guests. Students got to get their first taste of the vertical house structure we will be implementing and our House Leaders and LYL got them fired up with house spirit.

No orientation day would be completed without some learning, students got to immerse themselves into a range of interesting sessions today starting with a PAC lesson where they got to tour the school, learn more about timetables and expectations for next year. PE where they got to focus on teamwork, fitness and devolving new skills. Religious Education where students were able to pause, connect and reflect and finally a session in PRIDE, where students were able to explore the rich history and tradition's of Australia's First Nations People.

The day finished off with a BBQ and a good old house challenge of capture the flag. Thank you to all our Student leaders and staff who helped to ensure today was so successful!
