Concert Costumes
Students are singing and dancing to songs from the iconic Australian artists and bands! This year we are asking parents and students to be a part of the creativity of concert by supplying and sourcing their own child’s costume for the performances.
Below we have outlined what we would like students to wear.
We have focused on the style of garment as well as a few key colours for each year level. If you are unable to source the specific types of garments, please follow the colour scheme! Please note that this a guide and we encourage you to be creative with it!
One of the biggest things to note is that we would prefer NO logos or brands visible on garments if they aren’trelevant to the theme in order to keep some uniformity.
Please note - students do not wear shoes on stage, so these don’t need to be supplied as part of their costume.
Foundation - Green & Gold
- Anything Green & Gold/Yellow in colour
- Pants, Shorts, Skirts (if wearing skirts, please wear bike shorts underneath!)
- T-shirts, Singlets
- Black bottoms if green or yellow cannot be sourced
Level 1 - Aussie Animals
- Dressing up like classic Aussie Animals: Kangaroo, possum, emu, wombat, platypus, koala etc.
- Try to stick to the animal colours of grey and brown.
- Animal ears (could DIY at home!), animal onsie etc.
- If wearing something on their face, students still need to be able to sing and dance
- If you cannot find anything that makes it obvious they are an animal, please stick to the colours of grey and brown.
Level 2 - Beach Wear
- Red, Blue and White
- Beach wear
- Board shorts/swimming style
- T-shirt, single, short sleeved shirt
Level 3 - Bush & Khaki
- Think Steve Irwin!!
- Earth toned clothing - khaki green & brown
- Pants, Shorts
- Collared short sleeved shirt, t-shirt, long sleeve t-shirt
- Black bottoms if khaki green or brown cannot be sourced
Level 4 - Aussie Icons
- Be as creative as you’d like! Eg. one of the wiggles, piece of fairy bread, jar of Vegemite
- Try to avoid Aussie animals as that is the Level 1 category
- The brighter and more creative, the better!!
Level 5 - Aussie Sport
- Trying to stick to the sports of AFL & Cricket
- No specific teams, but wearing AFL jerseys or all white for cricket
- Can wear jerseys that are local teams that are the same colours as AFL teams
- Wearing AFL merchandise like hoodies, t-shirts etc is also okay
- Cricket - white pants, white shirt, cricket Australia shirt, baggy green, green cap
Level 6
- “Students” are to wear their camp t-shirt and navy shorts or skirt
- “Teachers” are to wear pants of their choosing and a staff t-shirt/hoodie (supplied by Mrs Pratt)
