Mindful Monsters – Grateful Greta

The Mindful Monsters Program is a Mindfulness program which uses memorable monster characters to help us learn portable techniques for calming the body and focusing the mind.

This week’s Mindful Monster is Grateful Greta.

When Greta is not feeling grounded, she sits quietly for a few minutes and turns her attention towards the things in her life that she is grateful for.

Greta notices the things in her environment and in her body that sustain her health and wellbeing, the people in her life who she loves or feels supported by, the experiences in her life that have shaped her in positive ways, memorable moments that have filled her with appreciation and joy, the opportunities that she has to experience things she is passionate about and small everyday moments that bring her life stability and predictability.

Focusing on the positives assists Greta to calm her body and focus her mind, to refocus her energy on the things she appreciates in her past and present and things to look forward to in her future.
