Book Week & Book Fair

What a wonderful celebration of Book Week we had at our school! This year’s 80th anniversary of Children’s Book Week was themed “Book an Adventure!”, beautifully capturing the spirit of discovery and imagination that stories ignite.

On Monday, 18 August, our students and teachers transformed into living storybooks for our Book Parade, dazzling us with costumes that reflected the adventurous theme, from intrepid explorers to daring literary heroes. The creativity and enthusiasm on display made it a truly memorable start to the week.

Midweek, on Wednesday, 20 August, our wonderful Parents and Friends Association ran a Book Fair. Generous donations from families were rehomed by students from Prep to Year 6, reinforcing our shared love for reading. I’m delighted to share that together we raised an incredible $1,800 for the school!

Book Week 2025 reminded us that every book is a doorway to a new adventure. It’s not just about costumes or events, it’s about sparking wonder, curiosity, and lifelong reading habits in our children. A heartfelt thank you to our staff, families, and students for bringing this adventure to life so brilliantly.
