District Athletics 

The Rowville District Athletics Championships was held on Friday 15 August at Knox Athletics Track. The day saw 68 of our finest athletes from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 compete against the other schools in our district. Students qualified for their given events off the back of strong performances at our House Athletics Carnival in term 1, and have been training at school since the beginning of term. Park Ridge finished in 6th place out of 8 schools. 

All members of the team should feel very proud of their efforts on the day and a big congratulations to the following students who finished in the top 2 in their events to progress through to the Knox Division Championships on Wednesday 17 September:

Hannah R - 1st in Discus with a new school record of 18.75m and 1st in Shot Put with a new school record of 6.99m

Taryn O - 1st in Hurdles with a new school record of 16.15s

Zach P - 1st in Hurdles with a new school record of 14.89s and 1st in High Jump

Levi J - 2nd in Triple Jump with a new school record of 8.02m

Georgia D - 1st in Hurdles and 1st in 200m

Sophia S - 1st in Hurdles

Zahid A - 1st in Shot Put and 2nd in Discus

Zane F - 2nd in Shot Put

London G - 2nd in High Jump

Mason D - 2nd in Long Jump

Max C - 2nd in 200m

Under 11 Boys Relay team featuring Zahid A, Zach P, Zane F and Robbie K - 2nd place

Under 10 Girls relay team featuring Nahlia D, Georgia D, Sophia K, Areet B - 2nd place
