Did someone say PIZZA!!!???!!!

The simple Marinara, square Siciliana, Veggie Vegetariana, Neapolitana, Cheesy Margherita, or eggy Fiorentina, Foldy-up Calzone, Quattro Stagioni, Or is it the one-and-only Pizza Pepperoni?  .....

Preparing for the Production, the kids are all singing about pizza - now it's time for a pizza lunch at school!  The Grade 6 Graduation Committee is holding its first fundraiser for 2025 on September 5th.$10 per serve available in Marguerita, Ham and Cheese, Plain Cheese and Pepperoni.  (A serve is either a whole mini pizza or two slices from a large Domino's pizza. Domino's will confirm which depending on our order size.) Purchase tickets here: https://events.humanitix.com/pizza-lunch-graduation-fundraiser by Tuesday September 2nd.

As we have to pre-order the pizzas on Wednesday, it will not be possible to purchase a pizza lunch once ticket sales close on Tuesday 2nd September. No cash purchases on the day.

Any questions?  Please ask Jenny Birt (Julien, Elyssa and Issac) on 0403.322.482.

Scholastic Book Fair

An enormous thank you for your overwhelming support of our Annual Book Fair.  Especial thanks to all the amazing parents who helped out after school this past week - truly a fantastic community effort.  In a little over two hours, we have raised over $800.  Each class has selected a new book for their room and we have selected over $550 worth of new books for our library (see photo) including picture books, non-fiction texts and new novels for our older readers - a total of $700 new books available to all our students.  They will be on display in the library and ready to borrow soon - we just need to catalogue them and cover them with contact for protection first. If anyone can assist with this, please contact Elise Rimington on erimington@smashburton.catholic.edu.au. The remaining funds are being put toward new teaching aids which will be delivered to classrooms shortly.  Once again, we are so thrilled with this exceptional outcome - thank you and happy reading!

Scholastic's Issue 6 Catalogue will be coming home soon.  Apologies that it is so close to the Book Fair, but it is part of our agreement with Scholastic to send out one issue per term.  As always, there is absolutely no expectation for you to purchase anything, but with school holidays coming soon, you may find something to keep the dreaded boredom at bay!
