Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Community Members,

As the year comes to a close, I would like to extend my warmest Christmas wishes to all members of our school community. May you enjoy a restful and joyful holiday season with your family. I sincerely thank you for your ongoing support of our staff and students throughout 2025.

We look forward to welcoming students back to Rockley PS on Monday 2nd February 2026. The office will reopen on Tuesday 27th January.

This week, we farewell Mrs Jackie Murray and Miss Jaylyn Hands, both of whom have made significant contributions to our school community throughout their time at Rockley.

As RPS Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction, Mrs Jackie Murray’s expertise in curriculum has ensured that our teaching strategies align with best practices, promoting high-quality, explicit learning experiences for all students. Jackie’s dedication to targeted teaching has enabled the development of tailored learning programs that address individual student needs, leading to improved outcomes and academic growth. Her collaborative approach with staff has facilitated professional development and continuous improvement across the school.

Miss Jaylyn Hands joined our school community in 2025 and quickly became an integral part of our student support team. Her genuine warmth and dedication enabled her to build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing essential support for their wellbeing. Through her commitment and enthusiasm, she has contributed significantly to nurturing a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture. Jaylyn’s presence will be deeply missed by staff and students. We wish her every success in her future endeavours.

Presentation Day

Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Presentation Day. The student performance was fantastic and a joyful celebration of the year’s achievements. I sincerely appreciate the support of staff, students, families, and community members in making our transition to the School of Arts Hall seamless and successful.
