From the Deputy

Years 7–10 Yearly Examinations
Students in Years 7–10 completed their yearly examinations last week. We were very proud of their attendance and behaviour throughout the exam period. We now look forward to reviewing their results, which will form part of the Semester 2 student reports distributed in Week 10.
Students will continue working through their term units until the end of the term to complete the outcomes for each subject.
Stage 5 Work Experience
Students in Years 9 and 10 will participate in a week of work experience beginning December 1. This is a valuable opportunity for students to explore possible career pathways and experience the daily routines of different workplaces. We hope they enjoy this important learning experience.
Year 6 to Year 7 Transition Days
Our Year 6 students rejoin us on December 2 & 3 for their final transition days as they prepare to move into Year 7. These sessions are designed to help students become familiar with the high school environment, meet key staff, try different subjects and build confidence for the year ahead.
Transition days are an important step in helping students feel ready, supported and excited about starting secondary school. We look forward to seeing them again in the high school setting and supporting a smooth transition.
Please note that Wednesday is sports day, so they will need to wear their sports uniform.
Reminders for the Last Four Weeks of Term
As we enter a busy end-of-year period, please help reinforce our school expectations with your child:
· Sun Safety: Primary students must wear a bucket hat when playing in the sun. Secondary students may wear a bucket hat or a cap.
· Uniform: Please ensure students wear the correct school uniform each day.
· Chewing Gum: There has been an increase in chewing gum across the high school, which is leaving residue on pathways. Students are not permitted to have gum at school. Please support us by reminding your child of this expectation.
· Mobile Phones: Mobile phones are banned at school and must be off and away from gate to gate. If you need to contact your child, please call the school and we will pass the message on. Some students who have been using their phones report that they are responding to calls or messages from home, so please avoid contacting them during school hours.
· Upcoming Events: We have a number of camps, excursions and sport days coming up. Please check the Compass portal regularly, along with the school calendar, to stay up-to-date.
