Bonjour tout le monde

2026 Planning

As we look ahead to the next school year, our Leadership Team has been carefully planning the structure of our classes to best support both student learning and school sustainability. Each year, we consider a range of factors: student numbers, individual learning needs, staff expertise and our available resources to create the best possible environment for the students at our school.

Next year, our classes will be organised to make the most effective use of our teachers and support staff. This means some classes may include a mix of year levels to enable teachers to work in larger teams, adding to the expertise designing the learning programs and increase the social network for students by making friends in the year level above or below. These decisions are always made with students’ educational and emotional needs at the centre, ensuring that every child continues to receive quality teaching and support.

We also have a responsibility to manage our school’s budget carefully. With rising operational costs and government funding from both state and federal levels remaining steady rather than increasing in line with costs, it’s important that we remain economically responsible. This includes avoiding over staffing, which can place unnecessary financial strain on the school and affect our ability to fund programs, learning resources and student support in the long term.

The class structure for 2026 will be:

Prep - 1 x  class

Year 1 - 2 x classes

Year 2 - 1 x class

Year 3/4 - 4 x classes

Year 5/6 - 3 x classes

We’re confident that our 2026 class structure will continue to provide a positive, inclusive and well-supported learning environment for all students. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support as we plan for another great year of learning and growth.

We will also be fare-welling a few staff members at the end of the year. From our teaching staff we will be fare welling Catrina Morabito, Don O'Conchuir, Julia Strentz, Clare Flood, Anna Badcock and Jon Bode, who have either secured teaching positions at other schools or exploring other possibilities. From our Support Staff we are fare-welling Nancy Catania, who is retiring to spend time with her new granddaughter and Maddie Di Cosmo, Phoebe Anderton and Liam Matthews, who are completing the final year of their teaching qualifications. We will thank and farewell them all properly at the end of the year, but I'm sure they are all excited to share their plans for next year and beyond with the community.
