Religious Education Update
Jenna Smithson | Religious Education Coordinator
As we enter the festive season, St. Aidan's is delighted to once again support the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal. This initiative brings joy to families in need by providing Christmas hampers filled with food and festive treats. Each class has been invited to contribute different items to help us fill these hampers. Thank you to those families who have already donated items.
Please see the requested items for your child’s class below:
Kindergarten | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 | Year 5 | Year 6 |
“Nice biscuits” such as Christmas biscuits or shortbread | Christmas Mince Pies | Christmas Napkins and Bon Bons | Tinned fruit and Jelly Cups (not jelly sachets) | Pudding and/or Christmas Cake | “Nice” Savoury Biscuits, Crackers or Chips | Christmas Lollies and Chocolate |
To ensure the hampers are ready in time for Christmas, please send in your donations by Wednesday, 3th December.
We are so grateful for any donations you can provide. Together, we can make this Christmas season a little brighter for those in need. Thank you for your continued generosity and kindness.
Last week, our Year 5 students led the school in our Remembrance Day liturgy. They read prayers and reflections, reminding us of the importance of honouring those who have served and sacrificed. Through their words and presence, they helped the whole school community pause to reflect on the value of peace and gratitude.

We are excited to continue our Friday class Masses this term. Please find the date for your child’s class mass below.
| Friday 28th of November | Pope Francis Graduation Mass |
| Friday 5th of December | Year 4 |
| Friday 12th of December | Year 6 Graduation Mass |
To allow all students the opportunity to read at mass students will be allocated a reading which will be sent home prior to their class mass for them to practice.

This Mass will be extra special as we honour Fr Allan’s 50th birthday, a wonderful milestone for our parish priest. Following the service, we’ll gather in the parish hall for morning tea.
