Dear Parents,
Over the past two weeks, we were delighted to welcome our newest Kindergarten students for 2026 during two special orientation days. The children had a wonderful time meeting their teachers, exploring their new learning spaces, and getting to know each other. It was also great to see parents connecting with one another, beginning the journey they will share over the next seven years. We look forward to watching our future Kindergarten students grow and thrive as part of our school community.

On Remembrance Day, our student choir proudly represented our school at Kildare Court Aged Care before attending the Maroubra RSL Sub Branch Commemoration Service at Maroubra Junction. The choir sang beautifully and laid a wreath on behalf of our community, honouring those who have served and sacrificed. We ended the day with Year 5 leading a moving whole school liturgy, helping us all reflect on the importance of remembrance. We were honoured to welcome our very special guests, Mr Jim Coady Vice President of the Maroubra RSL Sub Branch and Commander Simon Kelly, whose presence made the liturgy even more meaningful.

Our Year 4 girls had a fantastic opportunity today to spend the day at one of our feeder high schools, OLSH Kensington. The program immersed them in critical thinking activities centred on science and forensic investigation. Working collaboratively, the girls examined evidence and developed solutions to cases designed by Year 9 Forensic Science students from the college. This hands-on experience allowed our students to step into the role of scientists, engaging with real evidence and using secondary school science resources.
The girls returned to school buzzing with enthusiasm, inspired by the challenges they tackled and the skills they discovered. It was a memorable day that sparked curiosity and strengthened their love of learning.

May this year be one of GOODNESS, TRUTH and BEAUTY.
Take care and God Bless.
Kind regards,
Rachel Baker
