Special announcement

Dear MEPS Families,
We wanted to share some special news about three much-loved members of our MEPS staff who will be retiring at the end of this year.
Jan
Jan is our longest-serving MEPS staff member, having started back in the 90s. Over the years, she has witnessed many changes across the school, from new buildings and evolving programs to students who have since returned as colleagues. Through it all, Jan has remained a constant source of creativity, positivity, and inspiration.
Her passion for art has ignited a love of creativity in countless students, helping them see the beauty in self-expression and the joy of creating something unique. The incredible artwork that has filled our classrooms and corridors over the years is a true reflection of her talent, patience, and dedication. Jan’s artistic touch and the enthusiasm she brought to every lesson will be deeply missed, but her influence will continue to live on through the many students and staff she has inspired.
Kerry
Kerry will also be retiring at the end of this year. Over her 20 years at MEPS, Kerry has made an incredible contribution to our school community. She is highly respected by both staff and students for her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for every child she teaches. Kerry has truly made a difference in the lives of so many students, inspiring a love of learning and helping each child reach their potential.
Beyond the classroom, Kerry has always been a supportive colleague, generous with her time, knowledge, and a friendly chat in the staffroom. Kerry leaves behind a strong legacy of innovation and care that will continue to benefit MEPS for years to come.
Pattie
Our much-loved Pattie will also be retiring at the end of the year. Pattie has been part of the MEPS community for an incredible 42 years, both as a parent and a staff member. She truly is the face of our front office and the heart of our school. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care for every student, family, and staff member have made her such an important part of daily life at MEPS.
We will miss her dearly, her laughter, her warmth, and her deep knowledge of everything MEPS. But we are so happy that she’ll now have more time to enjoy family, friends, and some well-deserved relaxation.
We wish Jan, Kerry, and Pattie all the very best as they prepare for their next chapters. Each of them has contributed so much to MEPS, and their impact will continue to be felt across our school for many years to come.
Regards,
Brant Kennedy
Assistant Principal
