2025 Writers' Festival & Art Show

On Thursday 11th September, Greenvale Primary School proudly hosted its combined Writers Festival and Art Show. This year’s theme, ‘A Journey Through Time’ and ‘Art Through the Ages’.

Our corridors were lined with outstanding writing samples from students, leading visitors to the gymnasium, which had been transformed into a spectacular art gallery. The exhibition showcased artworks from Foundation to Year 6, inspired by a range of artists including Van Gogh, Monet, Paul Klee, Andy Warhol and Romero Britto, as well as movements such as Pop Art and Street Art.

The Greenvale Primary School Kindergarten also joined in the celebration, contributing amazing Indigenous inspired artworks.

The evening was filled with excitement and creativity, featuring a choir performance, sausage sizzle and a range of engaging art activities for children. A highlight of the night was our Art Auction, which thanks to the generosity of our school community, raised an incredible $2,335. All proceeds will go towards the development of our new Foundation to Year 2 playground.

We would like to sincerely thank all families who participated in the auction and acknowledge our winning bidders: Warran (OCC), Lauren (OBU), Arianna (ODH), Michelle (1HM), Emna (1KM & 3BS), Yasemin  (1RR), Brooke (2MD), Gizem (2JS), Sawitree (2BM), Zeliha (2AD), Ken (3HD), Forough (3LD), Sandy (4PL), Nikki (4EK), Fatma (4AM), Selma (Year 5) and Paul (Year 6).

The night was a wonderful celebration of our talented Greenvale artists and writers. The following day, we were also delighted to welcome Iwan Walters, our local Member of Parliament, who visited the exhibition and was equally impressed by the creativity and effort on display.

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their imagination, dedication and artistic achievements. It was truly a night to remember!
