District Cross Country

On the 6th of May at 11.30am, students from years 3-6 of Good shepherd got on a bus to compete against other schools in District Cross Country at Norton's Park. Some schools that were there include, Brandon Park, St Justin's, St Leonard’s, Waverley Meadows, St John Vianney's, Mulgrave and Albany Rise. 

The under 9s and 10s ran 2k and the under 11s and 12s ran 3k. The top twelve students in each age group made it into division and 16 students made it into the next round from our school. There were around 70-80 students competing in each age group, so this is an amazing achievement. 

The end of the day came so fast and all the schools had gathered around to hear the scores. We were all very nervous and tired after showing off our amazing running skills. Unfortunately our school didn’t come first overall, we came second. We lost by 63 points but we all tried our best and had lots of fun.
