High Abilities

Year One High Ability students attended a Toy Science Incursion on May 13. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned new facts relating to the science of toys.

Toy Science was a hands on, toy-based learning experience that explored the fundamentals of movement and various materials.  Students reviewed toys of today and yesteryear.

This 90-minute STEM incursion was specifically designed to introduce younger students to the fundamentals of forces, motion and materials. By adopting a play-based learning approach, students explored various historical and scientific basics behind multiple toys.

Prep Extra-curricular Program

On Monday 30 April Prep students attended a Brickworks Incursion. This collaborative and play-based 90-minute STEM incursion gave students the chance to combine their budding design skills through fun-filled individual and team orientated activities. Students were tasked with considering a range of construction challenges and shared their ideas as they built objects following procedures, using imagination, and creating zany designs.

All students enjoyed the challenges provided.
