School Advisory Council

The Good Shepherd School Advisory Council (SAC) is an advisory body working closely in partnership with the school, parent and parish community. 

The SAC provides a forum for discussion and discernment where parent voice and community perspective are a guide for principals, schools and parish priests in their decision making. 

The SAC has met a number of times this year and all members have been formally inducted. Fruitful and productive conversations have occurred on areas that include: Vision and Mission, Child Safety and Parent Code of Conduct as well as School Review and Data related to parent and community perception.

The main body of work this year will be centred around the School Review and supporting the school in this process. We will be encouraging parents to complete the MACSSIS survey next term to support parent feedback and voice in the future directions of Good Shepherd. 

At the end of each term we will share a summary of what has been discussed at the SAC meetings.
