We are excited for our Year 8 students to go to Lake Borumba for their Outdoor Education Camp in Week 8 (4 - 7 June). Our Year 8 students met with the camp coordinators from Higher Ground this week to discuss packing lists and what to expect while on camp. Outdoor Education is a powerful way of developing independence, confidence, and developing relationship outside of the regular school environment.
Our uniform focus for this term is jewellery. Students are only allowed to wear one silver/ gold sleeper/stud or pearl in the lobe of their ears. Nose piercings are not allowed. If other piercings in the ear need to be kept open, then clear plastic piercing retainers may be used. Necklaces are not allowed. If your child has a cultural requirement to wear an item of jewellery not list above, please reach out to your child’s Head of Year to discuss a solution.

The Futures Expo is a key event for students in Years 9, 10, 11 and 12 to get ideas for their subject selection choices as well as what to study after high school. Exhibitors will have current brochures and advice about what courses they have to offer, and how to apply.
Plus, there are prizes up for grabs! We have six showbags of merchandise donated by each of the exhibitors. Each student will be given a ‘passport’ upon arrival which needs to be stamped or signed by six exhibitors and then popped into our entry box. Six winners will be drawn at the end of the Futures Expo.
