Classroom Happenings 3-4

Two weeks ago we went on an excursion to IMAX and Federation Square. First we went to IMAX and we watched a 40 minute long movie about the top of Australia. It was called the Wild Top End, we also wore 3D glasses. We learned about Saltwater Crocodiles and a bit about a frog explorer. We also learned that Sea Eagles eat baby Saltwater Crocodiles and anything that moves in the water except for adult Saltwater Crocodiles. Next we went on a tour with an aboriginal man around Federation Square. We learned about Birrarung Marr and how the Yarra River got its name. We had a talk about all the aboriginal tools and after that we played on the playground for about half an hour. It was a great day,

First we want to IMAX at the Melbourne Museum to watch a movie about the northern  animals of Australia like Saltwater Crocodiles a koala and a shark. Then we went to  Birrarung Marr, this is how the aboriginal people named it. Then we went to a Koorie Heritage Trust building where our tour guide showed us some things which the aboriginal people used to hunt with then after that we  went  to have our lunch. After that we went to the playground and then rode on the bus back to school.
