Year 4/5

Here is what the 4/5 students have been up to since our last newsletter:
Students used their knowledge of 3D objects to design a net using technology. This task involved students measuring the length, width and height of a chosen object. Students then investigated what to include on a packaging to ensure their design was eye-catching.
We researched polar bear warnings and steps to follow if we have a run in with a polar bear. Students used their knowledge and skills to create poster to warn others what to do if they encounter this creature.
Year 4/5/6 students visited the Romsey Library to learn about what our local libraries have to offer, with some getting their own library card. This was an opportunity to promote local community and reading.
Students had the opportunity participate in an interactive live webinar with an Alaskan presenter, we were able to see Alaskan sea life creatures such as seals and sea lions. Students learnt more about the food chains that keep harbor seals and sea lions surviving in the frigid waters off Alaska.
