Principal's message

Hi Families,
We are officially past the half way point of Term 1, after a massive week including both the Alvie House Sports and the Polwarth Sports. A big thank you to all the families and friends who supported our students and the school on either or both occassions.
Alvie PS was third overall in the Polwarth sports, something that we are hoping to go one better next year!
Yesterday we had a number of our students (12) representing the Polwarth Schools at the Colac Division Athletics. We're still awaiting the final results to be received, but it appears we will have a number of students that will make it to the next division :)
Parent Teacher Interviews
Stand by for a Compass message around Parent Teacher interview bookings. These will be held in Week 8 (Tuesday 18/03 and Wednesday 19/03). However if you're unable to make this time, please contact your teacher to make an alternative arrangement.
Herald Sun - In case you missed our article on promoting regional schools and lifestyles.
They were once ‘tiny’ schools. Now enrolments have quadrupled in Victoria’s regional schools are booming with new students, with a dozen campuses recording a 200 per cent surge in the past five years. This is why families are making the sea change from the big smoke.
Congratulations to our newly elected leadership positions for 2025 at Alvie PS.
